Tuesdays  Nov 13-Dec 4 - An Introduction to the Egyptian MysteriesWebinar – 8 pm ET $100.  Sponsored by the Theosophical Society of Wheaton, IL

In these four-weeks we begin exploring the philosophical underpinnings of the ancient Egyptians. What did they believe and how did what they believed influence the spiritual cultures that followed? What secrets from this 5,000 year old religion are still relevant to the spiritual lives of modern humankind? Our emphasis will be on what the Egyptians themselves say through the ancient texts, and will reference material in Normandi’s book Imagining the World into Existence: An Ancient Egyptian Manual of Consciousness.

Class 1) Co-Creation: The Spirit of the Natural World
Class 2) Hieroglyphic Thinking: An Exploration of Symbol
Class 3) The Natural World and The Bodies of Goddesses & Gods
Class 4) Vibration as the Egypt’s First Sound and Light Show

No previous knowledge of ancient Egypt is necessary. All levels of experience are welcome.

Saturday, Dec 1 - Spiritual Journal to the Self – Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning, Lexington – 10 am-2pm – $40

Based on Normandi’s new book, Invoking the Scribes, prompts will include journal techniques for creating poems and prose from deep personal experience. We’ll work with ways to tell ourselves the truth more quickly. Exercises include dialoging with spiritual teachers and dream figures, drafting scenes from a life, diving into dreams, and “swimming with crocodiles” (life challenges and how we overcome them). Students should bring their notebooks and a brown bag lunch.

Creating Realities ~
Principles of Ancient Egyptian Magic

This event is held at Standing Stone Healing & Arts
943 N. 89th St. Seattle, WA 98103
As we explore the Egyptian archetypes that created the most enduring civilization on earth, we examine what it means to work as co-creators of reality. We examine the gods and goddesses as embodiment's of natural law, exploring magic, prayer and invocation. Through meditation we build the altar within where all divine creation begins and begins again. Workshop includes journal work.

Normandi draws from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Pyramid Texts, the Book of Thoth, and other sacred hieroglyphic writings spanning the three millennia of the Egyptian mystery traditions to reveals the magical language of creation and words of power that enabled the ancient Egyptians to act as co-creators with the gods.

Revealing the initiatory secrets of the Osirian mystery school, Ellis provides the essential teachings and shamanic tools needed to return to ZepTepi--the creative source--as we face the transitional time of radical change currently at hand.

Normandi Ellis, award winning author, has 9 works of fiction and nonfiction, including 3 within the last year-- Imagining the World into Existence: An Ancient Egyptian Manual of Consciousness, Invoking the Scribes of Ancient Egypt: The Initiatory Path of Spiritual Journaling, and her collected short stories, Going West. With Shamanic Journeys, she leads sacred travel to Egypt and offers Egyptian Mysteries retreats at PenHouse Retreat Center in Kentucky, which she and her husband own and operate.
